Cookie Policy
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar browser-storage technologies — including localStorage and sessionStorage — which work in the same way as cookies but store data locally in your browser rather than sending it to a server. This policy covers all of these technologies.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep Livre Business running correctly, remember your preferences (such as your cookie-consent choice and age-gate confirmation), and understand — in aggregate, anonymous terms — how visitors find and use our games. We don't use cookies to build profiles or for behavioural advertising beyond what is described in section 3.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site running, handle security, record age-gate acceptance and cookie-consent choice. | __age_ok, __cc_v1, Cloudflare security cookies (__cf_bm) | Session – 12 months. No consent required. |
| Performance / analytics | Anonymous traffic measurement — pages visited, browser type, approximate country. Helps us understand how players use the games. | Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-first, no individual IP stored) | Up to 30 days. Consent required. |
| Functional | Remembers UI preferences: your consent choice, age-gate state, and any in-session game state. | __cc_v1 (localStorage), game-session data (sessionStorage) | Up to 12 months. Consent required. |
| Advertising / targeting | When you arrive at Livre Business via a paid Google Ads campaign, Google may set advertising cookies to measure campaign performance. These are only active if you arrived via a paid link and you have consented. | Google Ads: _gcl_au, _gclid; Microsoft Advertising: _uetmsclkid | Up to 13 months. Consent required. |
4. Lawful Basis (UK GDPR + PECR)
Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest — they are required for the site to function and no consent is needed. All other cookie categories (performance, functional, advertising/targeting) are set only on the basis of your freely given, informed consent via the banner when you first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time — see section 5.
5. How to Manage Your Cookies on Livre Business
When you first visit livrebusiness.com you'll see our cookie-consent banner with two choices: "Accept all" (enables performance, functional, and advertising cookies in addition to strictly necessary ones) or "Essential only" (strictly necessary cookies only). Your choice is stored in localStorage.__cc_v1. To change it later, you can clear that key via your browser's developer tools, or clear all site data for livrebusiness.com in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
6. How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser
You can control or delete cookies directly in your browser. Here's how to do it in the most common browsers:
Note: blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
7. Third-Party Cookies and Services
The following third parties may set cookies on livrebusiness.com when you have given consent:
- Cloudflare — provides CDN, security (DDoS mitigation), and privacy-first web analytics. Cookies include
__cf_bm(bot management, strictly necessary). Cloudflare Privacy Policy. - Google — Google Ads conversion and analytics cookies may be present when you arrive via a paid campaign and consent is given. Google Cookie Policy.
- Microsoft Advertising — Microsoft UET cookies may be present when you arrive via a Microsoft Ads campaign and consent is given. Microsoft Privacy Statement.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser transmits a GPC signal when you visit livrebusiness.com, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies — only strictly necessary cookies will be set, regardless of any previously stored consent preference. We do not currently modify our behaviour in response to the older Do Not Track (DNT) header, as it lacks a standardised interpretation.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
